Burning Blue RainBorn from a lifelong friendship, Burning Blue Rain is the creative partnership of Louis Tessman Stanoch and Oliver Osland. Young men with old souls, they craft a sound that draws deeply from blues tradition while infusing it with the grit and groove of funky R&B. The result is music that feels both classic and current, grounded in emotion yet unafraid to explore new textures and ideas.
Since forming in 2022, Burning Blue Rain has earned a reputation for its innovative sound, poignant writing, and dynamic live performances. Their residencies at top Twin Cities venues have showcased the duo’s ability to command a room with subtlety and fire, building a dedicated following and pushing their presence steadily upward in the local music landscape. A growing catalog of original music highlights their range and artistic ambition, each release further defining the band’s voice. At the heart of Burning Blue Rain’s momentum is the natural chemistry between Louis and Oliver. Years of friendship and shared musical instincts allow them to create with an ease and trust rarely found in such a young act. Together, they drive every part of the artistic process. Louis’s expressive guitar work and soulful melodic sensibility blend seamlessly with Oliver’s intuitive playing, arranging, engineering, and production. Their collaboration feels less like two musicians trading ideas and more like a single creative engine operating in perfect sync. Their 2025 EP captured that connection vividly and drew early praise for its depth and groove. As Melodic Noise Media noted, “Every time I listen, they have me hooked.” It’s the kind of reaction the duo inspires consistently from listeners who find themselves pulled into the band’s blend of heart, craft, and authenticity. |

Nikki LemireNikki Lemire spins her life around her music, making space to perform in multiple fields and genres. Her songwriting features her expressive vocals over layered and hypnotic accompaniment. She dives deep into moving themes surrounding motherhood, love and loss. Employing modern harp techniques, loop and electric pedals, her songs sit somewhere between the old folk bedrock of Joan Baez, the musical innovation of Joni Mitchell, the blues of Bonnie Raitt, and the influential pop stylings of Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. In May 2024, Nikki was featured as "someone to watch" on The Current's Scouting Report. Lemire has garnered widespread praise and radio play, solidifying her as a rising star in the indie-folk scene.
